Apply for Scholarship
The JSCW Foundation has brought back our Race To 1K Scholarship. This application is open to all Sickle Cell Warriors who live in the United States. All applications must be submitted by the deadline of February 10th to be concerted for Spring funding. Winners will be announced and honored during our Empowerment Conference. This year’s Conference will be held June 19th - 23rd 2025. This Scholarship is only open to Sickle Cell Warriors and persons effected by Sickle Cell Disease.
The documents required are as follows:
Must live in the United States
Must be enrolled in University/College as a Freshman / Sophomore

GPA of 3.0 or higher
In less than 250 words answer the following prompt: “If you had the authority to change your community positively, what specific changes would you make?'‘
2 Letters of Recommendation (1 must be from your Sickle Cell Social Worker or Counselor)

Mr. Heaven D. Glaspie is the JSCW Foundation very first scholarship winner. Mr. Glaspie attends Winston-Salem State University class of 2023.
